Ushbu maqolada so‘nggi yillarda jadal iqtisodiy rivojlanishga erishgan O‘zbekistonda iqtisodiy o‘sish va havoning ifloslanishi o‘rtasidagi bog‘liqlik ko‘rib chiqiladi. 2000 yildan 2020 yilgacha bo'lgan vaqt oralig'idagi ma'lumotlardan foydalanib, biz iqtisodiy o'sishning havo ifloslanishiga ta'sirini o'rganish uchun ekonometrik usullardan foydalandik. Natijalarimiz shuni ko'rsatadiki, iqtisodiy o'sish O'zbekistonda havoning ifloslanishiga ijobiy va sezilarli ta'sir ko'rsatadi, bu esa ekologik Kuznets egri chizig'i (EKCH) gipotezasi mavjudligini ko'rsatadi. Biroq, iqtisodiy o'sish va havo ifloslanishi o'rtasidagi bog'liqlik chiziqli emas va iqtisodiy o'sishning havo ifloslanishini kamaytirishga kirishadigan burilish nuqtasi hali O'zbekistonda aniq emas. Bizning xulosalarimiz O‘zbekiston iqtisodiyotining barqaror rivojlanishi va havo ifloslanishini kamaytirish uchun muhim siyosiy ahamiyatga ega.
